What you'll be doing
Provide clinical support through providing patient care assistance, transferring patients and work related items throughout the facility in a safe and timely manner as well as working in a manner that contributes positively to the on-going welfare of patients, staff and visitors at Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals.

Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience as a wardsperson or in a patient care role within an acute care setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with effective time management and prioritisation skills
- Good knowledge of Infection Control and, Work Health and Safety standards and procedures, with a particular focus on clinical manual handling
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, supporting other and taking directions from team leaders, supervisors and other staff as required.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate respectfully to line management, colleagues, patients and visitors.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, which includes pushing patient occupied beds, lifting patients using relevant equipment and mobilising wheeled equipment.
- Ability and willingness to work a 24 hr/ 7 day per week rotating roster across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital, which includes weekends and public holidays.
