- Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and verify the accuracy of goods received against accompanying documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking and loading items according to customer orders or shipping requirements.
- Ensure timely dispatch of goods to customers as per delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly documenting all incoming and outgoing goods in inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular stock checks to reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
- Organize and store goods in designated locations within the warehouse to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy retrieval.
- Utilize manual or mechanical equipment, such as pallet jacks, or trolleys to transport goods safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Handle the goods with care to prevent damage or loss.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including handwashing, sanitization, and temperature control.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries and report any safety hazards or concerns to management.
- Collaborate with supervisors, packers, logistics coordinators, and other team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize activities, and resolve any issues that may arise during warehouse operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and efficient warehouse operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Ability to operate manual or mechanical material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Effectively operate forklifts
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Forklift License
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
