About the role:
The Wellbeing Practitioner focuses on building therapeutic relationships with veterans and their family by partnering them with local agencies, health practitioners, Government departments, and other ex-service organisations. By responding to and working with our ex-service community, you will be empowering veterans to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
Our multi-disciplined Wellbeing team also plays an active role in supporting its local community by promoting our services and building important relationships with other community members.
You will be responsible for:
- working with veterans and their families within our homelessness and financial hardship programs.
- assessing clients and preparing case management plans that support an outcomes-based approach to veteran wellbeing.
- preparing documentation that seeks support from: the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, other ex-service organisations; and rehabilitation providers.

To be competitive for this opportunity, you'll bring:
- completed Degree qualification in Humanities/Arts (Social Welfare) or Health Sciences or Social Science or similar, along with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a relevant position
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Strength-based Case Management
- Aptitude for and interest in completing your ATDP or MILADW001 in Welfare
- Demonstrated proficiency in planning and managing client workloads across highly sensitive environments and situations.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills to rapidly build rapport and trust.
