The Opportunity
Become an essential part of PIRSA's People and Culture team as a WHS Program Officer and contribute to creating safer, healthier workplaces across the department. This rewarding role offers the chance to provide expert administrative and technical support across a wide variety of WHS programs and initiatives.
Using a strong customer-focused approach, you will help PIRSA Divisions, management, and staff meet legislative obligations, actively manage WHS risks, and promote ongoing improvements in workplace safety. Your efforts will help strengthen a culture where safety is a priority and continuous progress is valued. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with committed teams and contribute to meaningful safety solutions that protect and enhance the wellbeing of PIRSA’s workforce.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who thrives in collaborating closely with divisional leaders and teams, providing trusted advice and hands-on support to ensure robust compliance with WHS management systems. Your expertise will play a crucial role in effectively managing risks and empowering divisions to achieve and exceed their WHS targets and objectives.
With a strong commitment to continuous development, you will play an important role in developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing PIRSA’s WHS management systems, procedures, and programs. You will confidently navigate PIRSA’s unique operational challenges, fostering a positive and proactive safety culture. Your expertise will drive lasting improvements that strengthen safety outcomes and support excellence across the department.

Special Conditions
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

Remuneration
ASO4 - $76,561 min - $80,256 max per annum, plus superannuation
