Your role as the Work, Health & Safety Manger will contribute to the delivery of initiatives and programs that supports Rest’s strategic direction on physical and psychological wellbeing, health and safety. Reporting to the Head of People Operations and WHS, you will be an intergeral part of our People Solutions & Services team and the SME for WH&S at Rest.
- Design, deliver and administer initiatives and programs to support and improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our people.
- Manage the wellbeing, health and safety management to meet legal obligations and maintain compliance with relevant WHS Acts, Regulations and codes.
- Engage, consult with and actively collaborate with P&C leaders, People Partners, the Risk team, the Work, Health and Safety Committee and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinate health and wellbeing audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Provide advice and guidance to the P&C team, Leaders and other Rest employees on health, safety and wellbeing matters and the interpretation of related Rest policies and procedures.
- Consult with the Rest Workforce on WHS matters.
- Collate, analyse, interpret, evaluate and present data regarding health and wellbeing activities for reporting and decision-making purposes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the wellbeing, health and safety framework.
- Promote a health and wellbeing culture and advocate to embed wellbeing, health and safety principles at Rest.
- Stay updated with legislative changes and communicate required updates.
- Prepare WHS reports for senior management.
- Act as Rest’s Return to Work Coordinator and support injury management.
- Review requests for reasonable adjustments and coordinate ergonomic assessments / equipment as required.
- Respond to WHS enquiries and resolve incident and hazard reports.
- Coordinate the WHS Committee quarterly meetings.
- Ensure training requirements for first aid officers, mental health first aid officers, HSRs and other key WHS roles are met.
- Maintain the WHS Intranet site and organise annual programs to promote employee health, safety and wellbeing including RUOK? Day, Mindful May, flu vaccinations, Mental Health Month and so on
Qualifications
- Certificate IV Work Health & Safety
- Return to Work certification (desired)
- Experience in implementing health and wellbeing activities and programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and its application.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a dynamic financial services environment.
- Microsoft Office
