About the Role
Join Aftershock PC's elite technical team, where you'll work on cutting-edge workstation hardware and provide top-tier support to our corporate clients. This role demands expertise in high-performance systems, Linux environments, and advanced networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure high-end workstations (AMD Threadripper Pro/EPYC, multi-GPU setups).
- Implement and troubleshoot advanced networking (VLANs, DNS, SMB/NFS).
- Manage Linux systems (Ubuntu Server), including RAID configurations and CLI tools.
- Set up BMC/IPMI for remote management.
- Configure NAS solutions and backup strategies.
- Conduct system testing and benchmarking using industry-standard tools.
- Facilitate remote testing and client coordination.
- Design and optimize cooling and power delivery systems.
- Maintain thorough documentation for client.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with high-performance workstation setups.
- Strong Linux proficiency, particularly with Ubuntu Server.
- Solid understanding of networking principles.
- Familiarity with BMC/IPMI configurations.
- Experience with NAS systems and backup tools.
- Industry certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Linux+ are a plus
There is the ability to do some work from home, especially when there aren't systems that are physically back for repair.
There is also opportunity to provide MSP and Helpdesk service should the candidate like to do so.
Emergency and out of hours support overtime will be an optional for the candidate but might provide extra remuneration opportunities in the short term.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
