We are a growing organisation that is looking for a 2 new team members to join us in the role of Youth Worker where you will be working alongside the young people in Balga and Clarkson.
The Youth Worker role will be based in:
Clarkson on a Thursday 1pm-6pm
Balga working additional days on a Tues-Friday from 8am-3pm
Balga working additional hours on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 1pm-6pm.
This role reports directly to the Program Manager Community and will also work closely with Youth Liasons and Volunteers to support our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people accessing our programs.

- Experience and knowledge working with Aboriginal individuals, families and communities.
- Experience in a similar position in the not-for-profit/charity sector is desirable however not essential
- The ability to balance competing priorities
- Problem solving skills and developing creative solutions
- Ability to work in a busy and varied environment
12 Buckets requires all its staff and volunteers to hold a current National Police Clearance, Working with Children's Check and Department of Education Clearance. If you do not currently hold these clearances we will support you to apply for them as a successful applicant for the role.
The role
We are looking for 2 Youth Workers. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Supporting the development of program plans based off young people's needs, interests and ensuring cultural safety.
- Supporting the development of strategies to support young people using cultural knowledge and in line with National Child Safe Priciples, Circle of Courage and Trauma Informed principles
- Completing all required reporting and documentation
- Engaging and collecting feedback from young people and using this to inform program development
- Working within the team to support situations that need de-escalating to ensure the safety of all young people, staff and volunteers
- Attending all required meetings before and after programs/sessions and as required
