About the Role
Are you highly organised, proactive, and looking for a hands-on role supporting a busy creative business?
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Studio & Admin Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a thriving dance school and growing short-term rental business. This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role ideal for someone who loves checklists, takes initiative, and thrives on variety.
You’ll work closely with the owner (that’s me – Erin!) to keep everything running behind the scenes—from client communications and bookings to light tech tasks and event prep. You’ll be the one who notices the small things, keeps systems tidy, and makes magic happen in the background.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days will be the same, but your regular tasks may include:
Admin & Communication
- Replying to parent enquiries via email, text or phone
- Following up with new leads and trial lesson bookings
- Updating customer records and booking info in our systems (GoHighLevel, Square, etc.)
- Keeping Trello boards and task lists organised
- Attending weekly check-in meetings with Erin
Studio & Event Support
- Assisting with show prep, enrolment launches and student events
- Preparing class lists, worksheets, and merchandise orders
- Keeping reception areas tidy and stocked
- Greeting students/families on Saturday mornings
- Helping with errands or light event set-up
Digital & Tech Tasks
- Uploading media to our website or email platform
- Formatting marketing emails or uploading automations
- Creating simple spreadsheets or tracking forms
- Keeping digital files organised (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Friendly, reliable, and highly organised
- A confident communicator (written + verbal)
- Comfortable with light tech tasks and online systems
- Able to work independently but ask questions when needed
- Eager to grow with a creative, values-driven business
- Flexible and willing to jump into a variety of small tasks
Bonus points if you have an interest in dance, admin, events - but it’s not essential.
You’ll Need:
- A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to get one)
- A laptop and reliable internet for occasional remote work
- Availability for a short Saturday shift (ideally 8:45 AM–12:15 PM)
- Australian work rights
What You’ll Get:
- A supportive, encouraging workplace where your contribution is valued
- Behind-the-scenes access to the inner workings of a growing business
- Ongoing mentoring and skill-building from an experienced creative entrepreneur
- The chance to shape your role as the business grows
- Occasional performance bonuses and professional development opportunities
