A career-building opportunity exists to join Chrismont in a full-time role, assisting with general business administration and Cellar Door operations.
In this role, you will work closely with and be responsible for supporting Chrismont’s business owners, its Project Manager, and the Office with day-to-day administrative duties and customer enquiries received for its Cellar Door, Restaurant, and Accommodation offerings.
You will also provide support to the Cellar Door team by hosting visitors to the cellar door and packing wine orders, both on a needs basis.
Offering an immediate start, this role requires a friendly, approachable individual with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of initiative.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Administration Assistant
- Operate as the primary contact for all incoming enquiries to the Chrismont office, including answering telephones, responding to general email communications, directing as required, and taking responsibility for follow-up actions.
- Maintaining confidential records, data entry and assisting with the preparation of printed collateral and document creation.
- Provide Business Directors and Projects Manager with administrative and project support as required.
- Support with weekly ordering in coordination with the hospitality, sales and administration requirements and procuring goods and services for the office.
- Provide support with online booking platforms to help maintain an accurate list of reservations across all areas of the hospitality business (restaurant, cellar door, accommodation, experiences, events).
- Support the Project Manager with Chrismont’s tourism bookings to ensure smooth preparation and transition from reservation to estate visitation.
- Support to the Wine Club, including keeping membership records up to date and assisting with packing quarterly shipments.
- Utilising our CRM platform to maintain an accurate database of all customers, service providers and wine club members.
- Carry out minor updates of tourism marketing materials, including cellar door tasting collateral, restaurant menus, and accommodation compendiums.
- Other duties as required.
Cellar Door
- Support the day-to-day operations of the cellar door on a rotating roster with wine tastings and sales, customer service, special events and VIP visitation (will include weekend day work).
- Ensure the cellar door is well-presented, fully stocked and ready for business.
- Assist in the fulfilment of home delivery and direct marketing orders.
- Assist with winery-based tourism activities, events and initiatives.
- Assist with monthly stocktaking as required.
What you need to have
- Must be eligible to work in Australia, with permanent status (i.e. no temp visa or overseas applicants please.)
- Previous experience within a similar role and responsibilities as above.
- Outstanding organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to clearly demonstrate discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, as well as in person.
- Be proactive, able to problem-solve, and show initiative.
- Experience with online booking platforms NowBookIt and Little Hotelier.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
- Proficient skills with MS Office skills, including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word.
- Hold or be willing to obtain an RSA certificate.

Hours: You will be employed on a full-time, 38-hour-week basis and must be flexible to work weekends and special events as Chrismont is a 7-day-a-week wine and tourism organisation.
Remuneration package: Negotiable based on experience.
