The Role
We’re seeking an Administrative Assistant / Showroom Consultant to join our friendly team. This position is primarily administrative (around 80%) with some showroom consulting (about 20%) involving curtains, blinds, and wallpaper.
It’s an ideal role for someone with strong administrative skills and a love of fabrics and interiors. The balance between admin and showroom work may vary day-to-day, depending on customer traffic.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
In this varied role, no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling phone and email sales enquiries
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Liaising with suppliers and following up on orders
- Booking showroom and in-home consultations for our consultant
- Assisting with scheduling installations
- Providing in-store consultations and helping customers with fabric and wallpaper selection
- Preparing quotes for curtains, blinds, and upholstery (training provided on our Drape and Blind Software)
- Quoting from house plans
What We’re Looking For
- Strong administrative skills
- Experience in the window furnishings or soft furnishings industry (preferred, not essential)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Availability for a 37-hour week (Tuesday to Saturday)
