About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and organised Administration Switchboard Officer to join our Support Services team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for callers and visitors, providing professional and courteous service while managing a range of administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include operating the reception and switchboard, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and supporting the coordination of fleet vehicle bookings.
Working closely with the Manager, Support Services, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys a varied role in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support. Your strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team make you an ideal fit for this dynamic role.
Proven experience in administrative or secretarial support, with accurate data entry skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining confidentiality
Strong communication skills and confidence in liaising with staff, clients, and the public
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, admin procedures, and commitment to EEO and WHS principles
