About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

The Administrative Assistant will provide quality customer service and administrative support to the work area to assist in meeting the Agency’s corporate objectives, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, processes and procedures, audit and statutory requirements.

As Administrative Assistant, working closely with other team members you will be relied upon to communicate key information, management of due dates of tasks, financial processing and monitoring and day to day administrative tasks. You will also ensure the smooth running of the area utilising your savvy business systems knowledge and superior organisational and communication skills.


About You

You are a highly organised and motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative and diverse setting. You possess strong technology skills, you are analytical with attention to detail, as well as have excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with staff and stakeholders.

Your passion for your community and environment, coupled with a passion for providing excellent and positive customer service will be key to your success in this role.


Essential Requirements


  • Experience in administration including the use of computer-based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management and records management systems.
  • Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices.

Desirable requirements:

  • Current Australian Class C Drivers licence
