About the role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager (EGM), Advocacy and Impact, you will provide strategic and operational support to the Advocacy and Impact Leadership (A&I) Team. In this role, you'll help build a high-performing, efficient, and well-governed team that manages risk effectively. Your work will ensure the Advocacy and Impact function continues to support the broader organisation, our board, members, and stakeholders—while also strengthening ART’s reputation and influence.
Day to day, you'll:
- Act as the business manager for the Advocacy and Impact team, supporting the EGM and helping build strong, proactive relationships across the organisation and with key stakeholders.
- Support the EGM with regular reporting to senior leaders including the Chief, People and Impact, the Office of the CEO, and various executive committees and the Board.
- Keep our Advocacy and Impact portfolio up to date, working with colleagues to track key deliverables and inform leadership of progress.
- Provide strategic planning, financial oversight, and operational support to help the team manage risk and deliver high-quality advocacy aligned with our 2030 ambition.
- Lead initiatives to improve how we deliver advisory services—streamlining processes, solving operational challenges, and ensuring we’re focused on the highest-value work.
- Plan and coordinate team activities like meetings or offsites.
- Chair meetings when needed, helping to drive efficient and outcome-focused discussions.
This role is available as a 12-month secondment opportunity.
About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- Experience in preparing and delivering executive-level reporting, including updates for senior leadership.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management across diverse internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiencies, improve processes, and support high-value work across business units.
- Understanding of financial management/ financial analysis.
