Our Analytics team at UpGuard supports all of our teams to extract key insights from the data that we collect. We extract data from multiple sources and build insightful dashboards to display key metrics and support leaders to make decisions. We also build integrations between systems to seamlessly collect required data.
Where does this role fit in?
As our founding AI & Automation Engineer, you will democratise AI and automation across UpGuard. Your mission is to build critical n8n workflows and develop domain-specific LLMs that make every UpGuarder more productive. You'll take our existing automation infrastructure and transform it into an accessible platform that enables teams across the organisation to leverage AI and workflow automation confidently, no technical expertise required.
What will you do?
- Extend the automation platform - Evolve our existing n8n infrastructure and build critical workflows that will serve hundreds of UpGuarders as we scale beyond 300 team members.
- Build critical n8n flows - Design and implement production-ready automation workflows that integrate cloud services, internal data sources, and LLM endpoints.
- Develop & democratise domain-specific LLMs - Fine-tune lightweight models on internal data from Gong, Notion, BigQuery, and other sources, then make them accessible to teams across the organisation through intuitive interfaces.
- Democratise n8n usage - Create templates, documentation, and training materials that enable non-technical teams to build and deploy their own automation workflows confidently.
- Embed security & governance - Bake privacy, compliance, and cost controls into every workflow and model deployment, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability and data protection.
- Enable widespread adoption - Run hands-on workshops, provide ongoing support, and mentor teammates so anyone at UpGuard can leverage AI and automation tools effectively.
