You will play a key part in client engagement, insurance placement and advisory work, building your reputation as a trusted broker and risk adviser. The Role
This role focuses on becoming a key member within our insurance practice and supporting the wide range of risk and advisory services we deliver to clients. The successful candidate will help drive our insurance work and assist the team’s consulting and advisory projects.
We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic, who can be trained to grow and become a future leader within our business. Key elements of this role will include:
- Helping clients understand critical technology risks and their needs across risk consulting, advisory and insurance placement
- Functioning as a key resource on cyber and technology accounts within the practice by participating in strategic planning, technical subject matter expertise, administrative assistance, and claims processes
- Supporting the placement of large, complex programs in the financial lines marketplace
- Publication of thought leadership, articles and participation in third party conferences and educational events run by the team
- Manage and support pipeline, prospects and financial reporting
- Developing deep knowledge across cyber risk management, regulatory and legal risks, emerging technologies, and data governance;
- Developing expertise across a broad range of insurance products (Cyber, Crime, IT Liability, FinTech, D&O, Statutory Liability, Reputational Risk, Professional Indemnity and Intellectual Property)
- Participation in wording drafting and manuscript insurance policy development
- Working with third party and industry stakeholders across a broad range of initiatives
The Requirements
- Previous experience in cyber, technology risk, insurance and the law, or a willingness to learn about these areas
- Have a good understanding of the insurance industry. Preliminary understanding of legal risk and regulatory requirements will also be beneficial
- A good understanding of risk management, insurance claims or broking
- Display the right attitude, work ethic, passion and collaborative behaviours
- Undergraduate degree in Law, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or Business/Commerce, or Diploma in Finance, Broking, Business, Marketing, or Media
- Foundational research skills
- Someone who takes initiative and is a proactive learner
- Leadership and strong willingness to take ownership
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive approach
- Experience in underwriting, insurance law, broking or claims
- Some knowledge of insurance contracts and structure
