The Opportunity

Join us at HSF Kramer, one of the world’s leading law firms, where our in-house café is more than just a caffeine fix! It’s a vibrant hub of connection, community, and quality. We’re on the lookout for a confident, passionate barista to lead our café operations and keep our team fuelled and smiling throughout the day.

This full-time role is based in central Melbourne, with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm. That’s right… your weekends are all yours.

What you’ll do

  • Running the café day-to-day, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

  • Crafting top-tier coffee and collaborating with our Head Chef to deliver a delicious, balanced food offering.

  • Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and building genuine relationships with our regulars.

  • Managing POS systems, updating menus, and preparing reports.

  • Handling stock, ordering supplies, and processing invoices.

  • Keeping documentation, finances, and communications in order.

  • Maintaining a spotless café space and ensuring food safety compliance.

  • Training team members in coffee skills and supporting the Client Services Manager with admin tasks.

  • Pitching in with the Client Services Team when needed, including occasional after-hours support.

  • Promoting a safe and respectful workplace by upholding WHS responsibilities.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience as a barista with a passion for great coffee.

  • Friendly, engaging communication style and strong interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive mindset and problem-solving ability.

  • A drive to continuously improve the café experience.

  • Positive energy and the ability to build rapport with customers.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS systems (or similar software).
