Job Description
Are you a passionate Chef looking to make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting? We are seeking dedicated Casual Chefs to join our high-performing Food Services team across our Camberwell, Hawthorn, and Eastern sites.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to our patients, visitors, and staff—ensuring every meal meets the highest standards of taste, nutrition, and presentation.
The role will require efficient collaboration with colleagues within the department and across the hospital.This role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Chef who is ready to be part of a high performing Food Services team.

To be successful in this role..
You will be an experienced Chef with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and quality food.
You will have:
- Basic computer skills
- A certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Certificate
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Trade Cook
- Availability to work across 7 days a week where needed
- A Food Handler's Certificate for healthcare or be willing to obtain one
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, together with effective communication skills
- Sound knowledge and the ability to implement and monitor all food safety requirements within the work environment

About Epworth Eastern Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 14 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers positive, meaningful, and sustainable impact on the health and wellbeing of our community, delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbourne's east.
