About The Role
John Hunter Hospital’s Surgical Services Unit is seeking a highly organised and compassionate Clinical Support Officer (CSO) to join our team in the Elective Orthopaedic Ward E3. This vital administrative role supports the effective delivery of surgical and perioperative services by working closely with a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Doctors, and Allied Health Professionals.
You will be job sharing with our current CSO and will work Wednesday to Friday, helping ensure seamless administrative and support functions that underpin our unit’s high standard of care.
The environment in Ward E3 is dynamic and fast-paced, reflective of a busy tertiary hospital. You will play a key role in supporting clinical staff and patient services while handling sensitive and confidential matters with empathy and professionalism.
- Handling follow-up phone calls with professionalism
- Supporting After-Funeral Management
- General filing and document management
