Job Description
Working across a dynamic operations across both the hotel and Pumphouse Bar and Restaurant you will be the heart of the kitchen brigade.
What will you be doing:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes with precision, following recipes and maintaining portion control to create flavors that impress.
- Ensure the availability of mise-en-place as required by the kitchen team.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene practices throughout the entire food chain, from storage to preparation and service.
- Collaborate with senior chefs to learn new techniques and improve culinary skills.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and experience in a similar environment desired.
- You have a keen eye and have basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- You can work under pressure in a high volume environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
