Location: This position will be managing the community engagement of all Sonder headspace Centres, therefore you will be required to attend headspace Adelaide, Edinburgh North, Onkaparinga and Marion.

About the Role:
As the Community Engagement Manager for Child, Family and Youth Services, you will lead community engagement across Sonder’s headspace centres in Adelaide, Marion, Onkaparinga and Edinburgh North, including Primary Platform and Early Psychosis programs. You will provide leadership and support to community engagement officers, foster collaboration across youth services, and build strong stakeholder relationships to maximise impact. You’ll also contribute to strategic decision-making as part of Sonder’s Youth Services Strategic Leadership Group and the headspace Leadership team.
Experience Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving and sound judgement, with discretion in handling sensitive issues.
- Experience coordinating and delivering youth programs/services, with knowledge of the broader youth, health, education and community sectors.
- A passion for working with young people, with demonstrated ability to support, empower and engage them effectively.
- Proficiency with social media, Microsoft Office and databases, plus understanding of organisational policies and compliance.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Community Development, Social Work, Social/Behavioural Sciences) or extensive experience in the youth sector.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in either Community Development, Social Planning, Social/Behavioural Science, Social Work or other relevant field
- OR demonstrated substantial and extensive experience in the youth sector.
- Drivers Licence
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Current or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance (NPC)
