We’re looking for a motivated Community Relations and Engagement Specialist (QLD) to join Boral’s Quarries team. Ideal for someone with a couple of years’ experience and a background in communications, public relations or stakeholder engagement, this role is your opportunity to shape how we connect with our communities—and celebrate the people within our business.
Reporting to the South East Queensland General Manager of Quarries and supported by the National Community Relations and Engagement Manager, you’ll help drive community engagement across Boral’s Queensland quarry network. This is a varied, hands-on role that blends external community engagement with internal recognition initiatives, making it perfect for someone looking to broaden their impact.
Your day will involve:
- Organise and facilitate local community meetings and events, building meaningful relationships with residents and stakeholders
- Develop and manage community partnership programs that enhance Boral’s brand and contribute to positive local impact
- Coordinate internal recognition and reward initiatives to celebrate our people and foster a strong, inclusive workplace culture
- Prepare engaging content—newsletters, event summaries, social posts—to support both internal and external communications
- Respond to community feedback and collaborate with media teams when required
- Monitor relevant government policies and local issues that may affect our operations
- Work closely with our Brand, Communications and Marketing team to ensure messaging aligns with our values and voice
What are we looking for?
- Experience in a community engagement, internal comms, or stakeholder relations role
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, community development, or a related field
- A proactive and empathetic communicator who enjoys bringing people together
- Comfortable organising events, writing content, and supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ideally some experience the infrastructure, resources or construction industries
What’s on offer?
At Boral, we’re committed to building something more—stronger communities, sustainable operations, and empowered teams. In this role, you’ll be part of a passionate team that values your voice, supports your growth, and recognises the difference you make.
