Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum, exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn’t be possible without great people - people just like you.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced professional in procurement and contract management to join our team and make a real impact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide contract schedule for planning current and future work, through collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Conducting high level market analysis to determine the most appropriate sourcing strategies for major categories in contacting works and procurement of goods and services.
  • Provide guidance to site customers on the development and completion of Scope of Work (SOW) documents.
  • Provide guidance and development of suitable negotiation strategies. Lead and support negotiations for specific sourcing events.
  • Developing the appropriate contracting strategy and legal instruments (terms & conditions) under which the category or works is to be sourced (managing risk)
  • Prove leadership, coaching and guidance to the contract team to ensure currency of skills and effective performance management.
  • Drive, support and collaborate, identifying and delivering value initiatives through our Continuous Improvement program.
  • Contribute to the development of the ongoing Commercial Development and Awareness program, in support of an enterprise-wide business understanding in commercial contracting

The following attributes will be held in high regard for this role:

  • 10+ years or significant experience in contracts management
  • Tertiary qualifications preferably in commerce, law, business or related fields
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
