Who we are:
Guardian Childcare & Education is a sector leader in early childhood education with over 170 centres nationwide and the highest portion of Centres rated Exceeding. We are a contemporary and innovative organisation and need positive, enthusiastic and driven individuals who are committed to providing the highest quality outcomes for our teams, children and families.

Are you ready to embark on an exciting adventure with Guardian? We are looking for a strategic and inspiring individual to join our team as a Curriculum Mentor.

The role:
In this role, you will be a valued member of a dynamic, inspiring, and supportive team of professional early childhood specialists with a wide variety of expertise. You will collaborate with our Network team to strategically support and prioritise the needs of our centres. Your contributions will directly impact the achievement of broader Guardian initiatives and projects, as well as the successful implementation and communication of these initiatives throughout our network.

You will work closely with Centre Leadership Teams to drive continuous quality improvement in both programs and practices across all Quality Areas. Your role will also involve contributing to the development of support tools and resources for our centre teams, as well as establishing partnerships with other business functions where relevant.

Working alongside other Curriculum Mentors, the Quality and Curriculum Team, Support Office Teams, and Network teams, you will have the opportunity to support, mentor, and lead the professional growth and development of our Educational Leaders@Guardian.

Additionally, as a Curriculum Mentor at Guardian, you will serve as a role model and advocate for the Guardian purpose, mindsets, and guiding principles in all aspects of your work.

Key responsibilities:
  • Proactively drive and contribute innovatively to the success and implementation of curriculum and centre priorities through working in a focussed, collaborative partnership with the Quality and Curriculum and Network teams
  • Advocate and lead Guardian initiatives through providing support for centre teams through in-centre visits, mentoring, role-modelling, guidance and empowering teams to build their capacity
  • Contribute to and deliver strategic direction, tools, resources, professional learning and support for centre teams which drive improvements in pedagogical practice through centre ownership and autonomy
  • Contribute to inspiring, supporting, mentoring, coaching and leading a network of Educational Leaders@Guardian through meeting rhythms, in-centre support, advocacy and practical strategies which deliver professional learning and support retention
  • Successfully build relationships, awareness and engagement with internal and external stakeholders which focus on achieving agreed outcomes of Guardian initiatives
  • Be a visible presence and advocate for curriculum initiatives through respectful partnerships, meeting rhythms and across relevant Guardian platforms.

About you:
We are seeking someone who has experience working across multiple centre locations (this could be in a Practice/Pedagogy/Curriculum role or an operational role) and has a strong passion for focusing on Curriculum and Mentoring. If you have strong leadership skills, and are excited about making a positive impact in the education sector, we would love to hear from you.
