The Opportunity
We now have an amazing opportunity to be PARTT of something meaningful. As a key member of our Care Services team, you will play a hands-on role supporting participants in our SIL Accommodation homes or delivering high quality in-home care and community participation services.
The successful candidates will possess the experience to work with individuals with complex care needs.
Key Duties Include:
- Medication administration
- Home Based Daily Living Support
- Taking participants for appointments and other community participation
- Behaviour observation and support
- Meal preparation and shopping assistance
- Maintaining a record of participant progress
- Assessing participants to determine continuing needs
- Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence
- Manual Handling of participants
- Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers and weekends
Many of our participants require 24-hour care so a variety of shifts will be available.
Desired Skills and Experience
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking capable, dedicated support workers - prior experience, qualifications and/or a background supporting challenging clients will be highly regarded.
The successful candidates will have:
- Own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing or related industries highly regarded
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate - essential
- Current National Police Clearance - essential
- Current QLD Unrestricted Driver’s License - essential
