We are hiring on behalf of a dedicated NDIS service provider seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker. This role involves supporting a young NDIS participant with mental health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and prompting with personal care.
- Support participants with challenging behaviours and implement strategies to ensure their well-being.
- Implement PBSP strategies.
- Collaborate with the participant's family to ensure continuity of care.
- Mentor and guide other staff members to maintain high-quality support standards.
About You:
- Experience working with children with ASD is highly desirable.
- Patient, reliable, and empathetic in approach.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive and supportive in assisting the participant's daily routines.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or related fields.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Working with Children Check.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies (advantageous).
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
