The Draftsperson reports to the Drafting Team Leader and is part of the South Coast MJH NSW ACT Drafting team. The key focus of this role is to ensure all CAD drawings are accurately completed to reflect the customer requirements in a timely manner, and in accordance with current building regulations, company standards and procedures. More specifically, you will:
- Interpret tender, council and supply authority documents in conjunction to create detailed working drawings
- Accurate preparation of draft sales plans & working drawings that incorporates house siting’s, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts
- Preparation of CDC/DA documentation and Construction drawings in accordance with Developer guidelines, multiple Council and/or the private certifying authorities
- Interacting with multiple internal stakeholders including project coordinators, estimators, colour selection consultants and permits team
- Production of construction drawings including reviews and amendments
- Problem solving construction and drafting related matters
- Perform administrative functions associated with the role such as filing, collating and processing of information in accordance with company standards
You will share a passion for our purpose to be Australia’s leading residential builder and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- A proactive approach and desire to work across a variety of jobs from simple to more complex over time
- Experience producing drawings using ArchiCAD or similar
- Strong understanding of the development approval process
- Certificate IV or equivalent in Architectural Drafting
- Experience working on residential construction projects is an advantage
- Understanding of the NCC and related construction practices
- Knowledge of current housing codes and regulations
- A keen eye for detail and attention to accuracy with demonstrated interpersonal skills
