Draftsperson Trainee

  • 9 day fortnight | 12 hour days
  • Northern Operations (Andoom)
  • 18 month fixed term Traineeship

We are looking for (LAP) Local Aboriginal Persons Draftsperson Trainee to work within a dynamic team that process mark-ups of electrical CAD files and update Site Service Plans.


Duties include:

  • Using CAD to create or modify electrical engineering drawings.
  • Create a public copy of engineering drawings that have been completed.
  • Add or update records of drawings in the relevant systems.
  • Update the site services plan in ArcGIS which is used to issue site permits for excavation.


Successful applicants must:

  • Have a current Drivers Licence.
  • Have LAP status approval.
  • Be priority driven, self-motivated and can work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Be technically minded and have knowledge on operating computers.
  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Show enthusiasm and have a passion to work within a team.
