The Opportunity:
- Full-Time | Fixed-Term contract of employment until 30 June 2026
- PW7 $92,375 - $101,744 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Chadstone Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport
The Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL) provides expertise and support to the Faculties and Institute in curriculum management and CRICOS coordination, teaching and learning resource design and development, including the design and development for the institutes Learning Management System (LMS), professional development for teaching staff including teacher induction, New Educator Community Practice, mentoring, Policy and Procedure development, and secretariat for academic governance committees.
The primary focus of this role is to collaborate with the Instructional Design Manager, subject matter experts, digital developers, graphic designers, and teaching teams to design high-quality, accessible teaching and learning resources across digital and print formats. You’ll apply instructional design principles to create engaging content that supports diverse learning styles, incorporates multimedia, and aligns with learning outcomes.
The role involves supporting online and blended learning across senior secondary, VET, and Higher Education programs by developing and maintaining digital platforms and ensuring accessibility for all learners. You will also contribute to the implementation of institute-wide digital learning strategies, including identifying opportunities for digital transformation, delivering professional development, and embedding best practices. Ongoing evaluation and feedback collection are key, ensuring continuous improvement of learning experiences and resources.
As a E-Learning and Instructional Designer, you will:
- Develop and review high-quality, accessible learning resources for digital, web, and print formats.
- Support learners and staff using online systems and assist with learning platform administration.
- Work with instructional designers, academics, and subject experts to create engaging materials.
- Assist with project coordination, stakeholder liaison, documentation, and meeting support.
- Contribute to training development, external resource projects, and staff digital capability building.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Applied knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and inclusive teaching strategies across diverse delivery modes.
- Proven experience designing, editing, and reviewing high-quality learning resources for digital, blended, and print formats.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on collaboration, communication, and delivering outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and within a team, maintaining high standards under time constraints.
- An approved tertiary qualification in adult education or other relevant area.
- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
