About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to join the Office of the President and CEO (OPCEO) at the RANZCP.

In this pivotal and fast-paced role, you will work closely with both the CEO and President, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the College’s executive functions. This is a high-trust role requiring discretion, agility, and professionalism. This role is well suited to someone with strong C-suite experience and a genuine interest in advancing mental health outcomes across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-level, confidential executive support to the CEO and President, including complex diary management, the preparation of briefing materials, and management of administrative matters.

  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external communications relating to the Office of the President and CEO, including drafting and coordinating correspondence.

  • Coordinating meeting agendas, recording and distributing minutes, and monitoring follow-up actions.

  • Arranging travel and logistics for the President and CEO.

  • Supporting the onboarding and meeting arrangements of the incoming President in collaboration with the Director, Media and Communications.

For a full list of duties, please refer to the position description.

What you'll bring

  • A strong track record in an Executive Assistant or similar role, supporting senior leaders in complex, high-stakes environments.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and professional approach to stakeholder engagement.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), and the ability to quickly adopt new systems and tools.

  • A flexible mindset and availability to work outside standard hours and travel occasionally, as required.

  • Experience in member-based, health, or not-for-profit organisations is highly regarded.

  • A strong sense of purpose and interest in supporting initiatives that improve mental health outcomes across communities.

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or valid work rights in Australia.

  • The successful candidate will be required to complete a National Police Check prior to commencement.

Some of what’s on offer:

  • Salary range from $105,000 to $120,000 total remuneration package (TRP) is on offer, inclusive of leave loading and 12% superannuation.
  • A paid day off each month for full-time employees.
  • 12 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • Flexible and hybrid work environment.
