We’re excited to re-establish our Community Services function and are seeking passionate, skilled individuals to help drive this important work.
We’re now accepting applications for two key roles that will lead and activate this renewed focus:
Executive Manager Community Services
Lead and oversee a diverse range of services that strengthen Burnie’s community and identity. This role includes responsibility for:
- Community development and activation
- Tourism and marketing
- Communications and engagement
- Burnie Arts
- Strategic projects that deliver community value
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic leader with a collaborative approach, a strong understanding of community needs, and the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes across diverse service areas.
Community Activation Officer
This role provides vital administrative and coordination support for the planning and delivery of programs, events, and community initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the administration of community grants and events
- Coordinating logistics and communications with local groups and stakeholders
- Assisting with data entry, reporting, documentation, and records management
- Helping implement initiatives that promote inclusion and participation
We’re looking for an organised, detail oriented team member with strong communication and admin skills, and an interest in supporting positive community outcomes.
