About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Leader to join our Human Services and Education team. In this role, you will provide high-level educational leadership, coordinate program delivery, and ensure quality assurance across the Community, CYFI and Mental Health training areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teaching staff across the department
- Coordinate course delivery, timetables, and teaching rosters
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and performance reviews of staff
- Ensure alignment with Training & Assessment Strategies (TAS)
- Drive curriculum innovation and industry engagement
- Monitor student progression and implement early intervention strategies
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance and audit requirements
- Promote programs through community engagement and events
- Manage budgets and ensure financial sustainability of programs
Skills and Experience Required
- Degree relevant to Community Services, Mental Health, or related fields
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- AQF 5/6 qualification with adult learning methodology and practicum
- Minimum 5 years’ industry experience
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proven ability to design and evaluate innovative teaching materials
- Sound knowledge of vocational education and training sector
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counselling skills
- Understanding of compliance, OH&S, and continuous improvement practices
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (desirable)
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
