As Finance Business Partner you'll play a crucial role in Qantas' technology transformation. Working within our Technology Strategy & AI division – the team responsible for developing and implementing strategy including AI capabilities – you'll provide financial analysis and insights that shape strategic decisions.
You’ll be accountable for:
- Supporting the development of business cases, including financial modelling and ROI analysis
- Creating tailored financial reporting and dashboards to track initiative performance against targets
- Analysing financial and operational KPIs to identify opportunities and performance gaps
- Assisting with budget management and cost tracking for projects and the Technology division
- Partnering with technical and business leads to translate strategic initiatives into financial outcomes
- Supporting investment reviews and project financial assessments
- Contributing to process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency and value
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Finance and business units
You'll have:
- A Graduate degree in a relevant discipline and professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA)
- 5+ years relevant professional experience with extensive financial knowledge
- Demonstrated Business Partnering experience within a large corporate organisation
- Thought leadership in managing large complex datasets and extracting key insights
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear financial analysis and advice to non-finance management teams
- A focus on process improvement with the ability to adapt and commit to continuous improvement activities
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to manage customer expectations
- Excellent communication skills to promote collaboration across broader Technology team as well as the broader Finance and Business community at Qantas
- A self-starter mindset and the ability to work under time pressure with limited supervision
- Proven ability to manage and influence priorities across a broad stakeholder group
