About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and commercially astute General Manager – Aged Care and Community Programs to lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of our aged care and community portfolios.


This executive role is pivotal in shaping future growth, enhancing service innovation, and ensuring compliance across a complex regulatory landscape. You will lead diverse programs including in-home support, health and wellbeing services, community transport, engagement initiatives, and childcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic priorities aligned with Kirinari’s mission.
  • Drive transformational change and service innovation.
  • Identify new market opportunities and partnerships.
  • Lead high-quality, client-centred service delivery across aged care and community programs.
  • Mentor operational managers across clinical and community teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement and clinical governance.
  • Ensure financial sustainability and growth.
  • Oversee pricing and cost optimisation.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with funders and government agencies.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Kirinari in forums and/or with industry bodies.
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive workforce.
  • Promote values-based leadership and a culture of compassion and accountability.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Senior executive experience in aged care, health, or human services within complex organisations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing large budgets and contracts.
  • Deep understanding of the Australian aged care and community care landscape.
  • Proven leadership in transformation and culture-building.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, health administration, or related fields.
