About the role:
The Grid Connections Lead will be responsible for managing key relationships with Distributed Network Service Providers (DNSPs) across Australia to enable the successful delivery of Energy Solutions projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost-effective, timely, and technically sound grid connections for EV charging infrastructure, solar, and battery systems. It requires strong commercial acumen, technical oversight, and strategic alignment across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the negotiation and execution of grid connection agreements, permits, and compliance requirements with relevant authorities
  • Oversee technical assessments including feasibility studies and grid impact analyses to proactively resolve connection challenges
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of grid connection activities
  • Monitor energy market trends and regulatory developments to inform connection strategies and identify continuous improvement opportunities

About you

You bring a proven ability to build high-value relationships, navigate complex negotiations, and drive grid connection strategies that align with organisational goals. Your strengths lie in your ability to engage stakeholders, manage complexity, and deliver commercially sound outcomes in a dynamic environment.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven track record in developing and managing strategic relationships with NSPs, driving value through collaboration and long-term engagement
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience leading negotiations and securing outcomes that support both regulatory compliance and business strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of energy networks, grid connection processes, and key drivers within the energy sector, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills, capable of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from feasibility through execution
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, energy systems, business, or a related field, is desirable
