About the Role
The Head of CGS Sport at Canberra Grammar School is a pivotal whole-school leadership position, responsible for the strategic direction, operational delivery and cultural vitality of CGS Sport. Reporting to the Director of Co-Curricular Education, the role leads the design and execution of an ambitious, inclusive and future-oriented sports programme that reflects the values of CGS100 and positions the School as a national leader in school sport.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- The ability to work collaboratively with CGS team members
- The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery and change management
- Administrative and organisational skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated success in leading sport or co-curricular programmes at a whole-school or system level
- Proven ability to lead people, manage operations and drive strategy in a high-performing educational context
- Deep understanding of contemporary sport education, athlete development and wellbeing
- High-level skills in planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong alignment with CGS values of inclusivity, excellence, integrity, and service, including Anglican ethos and student-centred leadership
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Sport Science, Coaching or a related field

- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
