Your new role
As the Head of Market Access, you will play a crucial role in shaping market strategies and driving the success of products. Your key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies for products and portfolio throughout their lifecycle.
- Lead pricing strategy development aligned with market conditions and company objectives while securing reimbursement approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align market access strategies with overall business goals and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform decision-making and support product development and commercialization efforts.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, represent the company in negotiations, and mentor a team of market access professionals.

The MAPAS team is dedicated to ensuring Novo Nordisk’s therapies are accessible to patients while maintaining a sustainable healthcare system. - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Health Economics, Business, Life Sciences) is required, with a preferred postgraduate qualification in areas such as health economics, medical science, or an MBA.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in market access, pricing, and reimbursement in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Australia/New Zealand regulatory environments and healthcare systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to think strategically and execute effectively, with proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.
