Job Description
- Senior Strategy role - working as 2IC to GM Strategy
- Hybrid work environment - blending work from home and our circular quay offices

The Head of Strategy works across the Rest Executive leadership team, Board, and senior leaders and specialists at Rest to:
- Act as a 2IC to the GM Strategy.
- Support the design and delivery of the overall Rest-wide strategy process, including Board-level and Executive-level strategic planning.
- Bring best practice thought leadership and ‘outside in’ perspective to Rest.
- Support the development of an industry-leading strategic vision for Rest, working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders (Executive, and other relevant leaders).
- Lead strategy consulting projects as required.
- Strategic Planning: Support the design and delivery of the overall Rest-wide strategy process, including Board-level and Executive-level strategic planning as well as an industry-leading strategic vision for Rest.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to work directly with senior Executives and Board across Rest.
- Project Leadership: Lead strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with defined objectives and deliver the intended results. This includes defining the approach and managing timelines as well as driving high quality insights and recommendations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to lead and/or support strategic projects and other activities as required.
- Experience design: Apply member-centric design in strategy development including experience with HCD techniques.
- Market and Internal Analysis: Lead and direct comprehensive industry, market, internal and competitor analyses/benchmarking to inform strategic decisions as well as supporting analysis as required.
- Board and Management Reporting: Preparing regular Board and Management reporting that outlines progress against our strategy and key member outcomes.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Experience in strategic planning, strategy consulting or a related field
- Experience in a Consulting environment and demonstrated knowledge of core strategic frameworks and techniques
- Demonstrated experience leading strategy engagements with senior stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem solving skills and ability to deliver strategic insights, including experience with financial modelling and data analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex ideas effectively to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated familiarity with the financial services industry and/or superannuation, inclusive of superannuation investments is desirable
