We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Head Sommelier to lead our wine program and join our senior leadership team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented wine professional — ideal for a Senior Sommelier ready to step up into a leadership role within one of Sydney’s most dynamic dining destinations.
About the Role
As Head Sommelier, you will:
- Curate and manage Nour’s award-winning wine program.
- Lead wine service and deliver exceptional guest experiences through thoughtful pairings.
- Mentor and train the FOH team, lifting overall knowledge and service standards.
- Manage COGS, supplier relationships, and cellar operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and senior management to align wine with food and overall service vision.
- Play an active part in the senior leadership team, helping shape culture and standards across the restaurant.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Sommelier or strong Senior Sommelier ready to step up.
- Exceptional knowledge of both local and international wines.
- WSET Level 3 (or equivalent) desirable.
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
- A guest-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Organised, with experience in cellar management and cost controls.
