The Role
We’re looking for a proactive safety professional who thrives on building safe and supportive environments. This role is about more than compliance, it’s about embedding a culture where safety is everyone’s business and wellbeing is a shared responsibility. Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with leaders across Victoria and Queensland, you will:
- Lead risk assessments, audits and incident investigations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Manage the end to end incident and injury management process, including Workers’ Compensation claims in VIC and QLD.
- Provide expert WHS advice, training and support to leaders and staff.
- Drive engagement in safety initiatives and promote shared accountability.
- Analyse safety performance data and recommend improvement strategies
What We’re Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or equivalent experience
- Return to Work Coordinator accreditation (essential)
- Srong understanding of WHS legislation and workers compensation schemes in Victoria (WorkSafe VIC is essential)
- Knowledge of Queensland WHS and workers compensation frameworks (WorkCover QLD), or a willingness to gain this knowledge
- Experience in aged care, healthcare or community services (highly desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and influence
- A collaborative, proactive approach with a genuine commitment to wellbeing
