Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to deliver exceptional coffee experiences at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Operations Manager - in this role, you will champion best coffee practices and ensure our guests enjoy warm, professional service in a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
What you’ll do:
Prepare and serve quality coffee, tea, food and beverage items with efficiency and care.
Maintain high grooming and service standards, ensuring a professional guest experience.
Train and support team members in coffee-making techniques.
Operate POS systems, handle transactions accurately, and assist with opening/closing duties.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Delivering a strong focus and passion for hotel operations
Act as an Accor ambassador by promoting hotel services and living our Heartist values.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- 1–2 years’ Food & Beverage experience, ideally in a hotel environment
- 5-star service delivery experience desirable
- Strong barista skills (espresso, pour over etc.) with ability to deliver quality coffee at high volumes
- Knowledge of food safety and WHS practices
- A warm, guest-focused personality with excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Demonstrated competency operating POS and applying numeracy skills to perform smooth transactions
- Proven initiative and problem solving abilities
- Ability to make people feel welcome and remembered
