Job Title: HR Advisor, Australia
Reports to: Global HR Manager
Location: Remote (may be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney)
The HR Advisor is a key member of the Human Resources Department at ILSC Education and will be responsible for supporting our Australian HR processes, initiatives and projects.
Reporting to the Global HR Manager, the HR Advisor will support all Australian HR functions including coordination of recruitment initiatives, onboarding, HR training, employee relations support including onboarding, investigations, offboarding, HR reporting and HR projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the recruitment process for Australia, including drafting job postings, managing internal/external job postings, recruitment tools and training where required.
- Update offer letter templates and draft offer letters where Administration of the new hire packages including supporting the onboarding process and orientation planning.
- Collaborate with the payroll department on employee matters and projects, such as benefits administration, leave management and payroll discrepancies.
- Supporting the ILSC & Greystone College management teams with employee matters.
- Supporting and/or conducting employee investigations as required.
- Respond to employee and management queries related to the Human Resources policies.
- Maintain and update local policies and procedures, as required.
- Maintain employee file records on ILSC & Greystone College’s HRIS, including performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected, accurate and maintained.
- Completing termination paperwork and assisting with employee exit interviews.
- Maintain and update ILSC & Greystone College’s internal HR site, including maintenance of organizational charts.
- Track completion of employee compliance requirements where applicable, such as Working with Children and VEVO checks.
- Support management with employee sponsorship requests and liaise with external immigration lawyers on specific cases.
- Support employee engagement and retention projects such as rewards & recognition programs.
- Internal HR and CSR projects to strengthen teamwork and company culture.
- Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- Some travel may be required.
- Additional job-related projects and duties as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum three years previous experience in a busy Human Resources position is required, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management is required.
- A combination of education/experience may be considered if it directly relates to the position.
- Knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with ADP WFN or BambooHR is an asset.
- HR professional certification is an asset.
