We have an opportunity available to join the deadly Indigenous Community Experience Squad! As a team we’re responsible for not only creating meaningful careers by delivering CommBank’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Careers Programs but also by providing a compelling employee experience for First Nations employees, offering tailored support and a culturally safe environment for First Nations employees to grow their careers at CommBank.

The team are also responsible for driving our experienced hires strategy to support progress towards the Group’s parity aspiration of 3% Indigenous employees by 2026.

We'd love to hear from First Nations Peoples who would be interested in these opportunities.

Why a career at CommBank?

We know not everyone wants to work for a bank, but trust us when we say we’re different. In these roles, you’ll be working with and for Mob. We’ve got a humming internal Indigenous employee network, plenty of good perks, and you’ll get to work closely with external community partners. Not only that, but we have some epic senior Indigenous leaders you can learn from and work alongside.

Joining CommBank means being part of a community that fosters inclusivity. Be part of our internal Indigenous Employee Network, offering opportunities like:

  • Regular Yarning Circles
  • Our Annual One.Mob summit uniting employees to celebrate culture, success, and development
  • Connection to our Indigenous Employee Network for continuing support and development at CommBank

Do work that matters…

This role will help find meaningful careers for mob and contribute to the broader work across the ICX squad.

This role provides guidance and support for Indigenous candidates throughout the recruitment process. You’ll not only connect with candidates who have applied to job vacancies, but you’ll be networking, connecting and constantly thinking about potential candidates who could be a great fit for CommBank. Day to day you’ll be speaking with candidates over the phone, learning about their experience and career aspirations, and advocating for them via internal processes to help them secure a role.

You’ll also be responsible for doing work across the squad to improve the Indigenous employee experience at CommBank.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Knowledge and experience with Indigenous cultures, communities and affairs, with particular experience in Indigenous employment initiatives desirable; strong commitment to improving Indigenous employment outcomes essential.

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong relationship development skills
  • Knowledge of best practices related to Indigenous employee experience and workplace diversity
