About the role
The Investment Partner role sits in Commercial Finance team as part of the Finance, Strategy and Legal team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Southbank.
As an Investment Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting infrastructure deal teams and reviewing capital investment opportunities across our Development Future Networks (DF&N) portfolio. This business portfolio includes large-scale batteries, major transmission network augmentations, and connections with renewable generators and hyperscale data centres.
You’ll support the Capital Investment Manager and Senior Investment Partners by:
- Reviewing financial models and approval papers prior to executive and board review;
- Running scenario analyses to test pricing robustness;
- Coordinating inputs into the 5-year Capex plan and investment pipeline forecasts;
- Providing accounting, tax and general finance advice on projects. Where required, facilitate discussions between the Project deal teams and various Finance SME, including Treasury, Tax and Corporate Accounting;
- Supporting bid submissions; and
- Undertaking process improvement.

Preferred skills and experience:
- Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis skills;
- A solid understanding of key Corporate Finance/Project Finance principles, including an understanding of investment evaluation metrics;
- Experience in capital investment evaluation preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities;
- Background in utilities, infrastructure, or banking preferred;
- CA/CPA/CFA or equivalent professional membership preferred.
