Description of position:
Cleans and sanitises Bakery area, Bakery equipment and Bakery utensils. Re-stocks necessary supplies and ingredients. Disposes of trash and logs sanitation procedures. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. Follows proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous customer service
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
- Cleans and sanitises the bakery area. Sweeps, mops, sprays, washes, applies cleaning agents, wipes, and operates pressure washer.
- Cleans and re-fills mop bucket. Cleans mop head. Follows Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
- Dismantles bakery equipment. Washes, rinses, and sanitises removable parts. Wipes down stationary parts.
- Washes bakery containers and utensils. Re-stocks baking supplies and industrial-sized containers of ingredients.
- Collects cardboard and trash, operates trash compactor and cardboard baler. Takes laundry to service pick up area.
- Logs sanitation procedures performed on daily report and comply with health codes. Follows proper Bakery and general safety and security procedures and standards. Reads labels for proper use and precautions of cleaning products.
- Follows Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position. Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and Bakery Department.
- Assists bakers and follows department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product. Assists in other areas and departments of the warehouse as necessary.
- Follows Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to drivers, members, employees, and suppliers.
