Job Description
Job Coordinators are dedicated individuals who work to connect people looking for work or transitioning in employment with training, job opportunities and other support. As part of their role, Job Coordinators chair Local Jobs and Skills Taskforces, and work with local stakeholders including employers, employment services providers, and training organisations to drive the development and implementation of a Local Jobs Plan tailored to the place-based needs of a Region.
This role commences on the 15th September for a 9-month duration.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- High-level written and oral communication skills (including the ability to write in a way that meets a wide variety of business communication needs) and the ability to communicate and liaise effectively and sensitively at all levels, both with internal and external stakeholders
- A high degree of professionalism and judgement with the ability to maintain a high levels of confidentiality
- Senior level experience in local community programs, employment services, training programs or industry
- High-level administrative skills and computer literacy
- Proactive approach to developing and enhancing local employment solutions
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities and work to deadlines
- Sound analytical skills and an ability to work with discretion
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and self-management skills and proven capacity to work across a varied team within a fluid and dynamic environment with limited supervision
- Support productive relationships with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently and with people of all levels
- High-level attention to detail, maintaining a flexible and resourceful approach to effectively multi-task and manage workload.
- A current driver's licence is essential.
