Position Overview
The Junior Waiter/Waitress (Casual) supports the floor team in delivering CU29’s high standard of service, assisting with table preparation, food and beverage delivery, and general guest support. This role is ideal for someone developing their hospitality skills who is eager to learn in a premium dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Service Support
- Assist in setting and resetting tables according to CU29’s service standards.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
- Provide water service, bread, condiments, and other table essentials as required.
- Clear tables efficiently and maintain a clean, organized dining area.
Guest Assistance
- Greet guests warmly and assist in seating when required.
- Respond to basic guest requests and relay more detailed enquiries to senior staff.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and welcoming manner at all times.
Team Collaboration
- Support senior waitstaff during busy service periods.
- Assist with restocking service stations and replenishing supplies.
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all workplace health & safety and food hygiene requirements.
- Adhere to CU29’s grooming and presentation standards.
- Report any incidents, spills, or hazards immediately to the Duty Manager.

Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality industry is required, preferably in a premium or fine dining environment and in a high volume/marked–up venue.
- Willingness to undertake training in premium service standards.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (required for serving alcohol).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
