About the position
The LaunchPad Program and Community Coordinator plays a central role in the success of this initiative. Working closely with the Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship and in collaboration with Startmate, the Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and ongoing development of the program. This includes managing participant recruitment, supporting marketing and outreach efforts, and serving as the primary point of contact for students from application through to post-program support.
The role also involves building strong relationships across the university and externally, fostering a thriving entrepreneurial community across both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. With access to co-working spaces, mentoring, events, and resources, the Coordinator will be instrumental in empowering future founders and strengthening La Trobe’s reputation as a hub for innovation and startup growth.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have
- Degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge in an administrative field, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise developed through extensive relevant experience and application.
- Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
- Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Experience within Victorian entrepreneurship eco-system preferable but not mandatory
