Job Description
As our Lead Electrician – Service & Maintenance, you’ll be at the heart of EVSE’s national electrical team, keeping Australia’s EV charging network running smoothly. From preventative maintenance and repairs to on-site and remote diagnostics, audits, and technical support, your hands-on expertise will make a real impact.
You’ll also champion safety, quality, and performance standards, while inspiring and leading a talented team of electricians and partners. This role combines technical skill, leadership, and a passion for excellence, perfect for someone ready to drive change in the fast-paced EV industry. As part of your role you will be doing;
Service, Maintenance & Repairs
Lead preventative and reactive maintenance across EVSE’s charging network, including fault diagnosis, repairs, and remote troubleshooting. Ensure service records are maintained and invoicing is accurate.
Team Leadership
Manage and develop a national team of electricians and contractors, setting KPIs and fostering a safety-first, service-focused culture.
Safety & Quality
Oversee safety inspections, quality audits, and compliance with electrical standards. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Technical Support & Commissioning
Provide advanced technical support, oversee commissioning processes, and assist with software integration as needed.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all electrical work meets licensing, certification, and audit requirements. Maintain WHS and contractor compliance records, liaising with regulatory bodies as required.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Drive continuous improvement, monitor performance metrics, and recommend updates to procedures and documentation.
Qualifications

To see you succeed in this role you will have the following;
Essential:
• NSW Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
• 5+ years in service/field support roles, including supervision or management
• Deep understanding of electrical safety and Australian standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3000)
• Demonstrated experience in repairs, fault finding, asset maintenance, and remote diagnostics
• Strong grasp of WHS legislation, risk assessments, and safe work procedures
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• High level of attention to detail and documentation standards
Desirable:
• Experience in EV charging, solar, or industrial electrical systems
• Familiarity with OCPP or other remote energy management platforms
• CEC accreditation or relevant training
• Certificate IV in Leadership & Management
• Audit or inspection experience
