About the role
We have a unique opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Government & Not for Profit team. Our team work with a wide range of government and not for profit clients on complex commercial, regulatory and administrative law matters. Supporting Partner Alanna Mitchell and a range of senior and junior lawyers, this role will contribute to ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the group.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordination of meetings and internal/external functions
- Opening and closing of matters including e-filing and physical archiving via Aderant Expert (billing) and iManage (document management) systems
- Time entry and preparation of monthly high volume billing
- Creating, drafting, editing, and formatting a range of legal correspondence and documents
- Reconciling expenses for authors on a monthly basis and
- All other general ad hoc administrative duties
About you
Ideally you will have significant legal administrative and/or EA experience in a similar environment, and demonstrate the following:
- An understanding of legal terminology
- Competent technical ability using Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Aderant Exert for billing is advantageous
- The ability to produce accurate, high-quality work within set timeframes
- A strong attention to detail
- Experience in diary management
- A personable, collaborative, and friendly disposition.
