Join the NSW Department of Education as a Liaison Manager (Clerk Grade 11/12)
We are excited to announce openings for Liaison Manager within our Curriculum directorate.
  • Location: Parramatta with access to various NSW Education offices and flexible working arrangements available
  • Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 with base salary ranging from $149,739 to $173,174 per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • 2 x Ongoing full time opportunities.

About the Curriculum directorate
The Curriculum Directorate is responsible for supporting the implementation of policies and design of high-quality evidence-based resources and tools to support curriculum implementation across P-12. We coordinate special programs, and we lead the department’s response to the NSW Curriculum Reform.
About the role
The role provides timely and expert advice and delivers internal and external communications relating to the program. The role works collaboratively across the department and sector to develop and implement best practice communications materials and tools that contribute to the objectives of the program.

About you
You are a strategic and creative communications professional with a strong background in delivering impactful communication strategies within complex environments. You excel at translating complex information into clear, accessible content and are confident managing multi-channel campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and website content development. Your ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners ensures communication efforts are aligned, targeted, and outcomes-focused. With strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset, you continuously seek ways to refine communications using data and emerging trends to support the success of large-scale initiatives.
Key knowledge and experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in communications on government reform.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements:
  • Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
